Plyometrics is a form of exercise that links strength with speed of movement. In athletic competition, muscles go through a stretch phase and a contraction phase during the running or jumping motion. Plyometric exercises are designed to shorten the cycle time between these two phases. A rapid cycle time allows maximum energy transfer between the stretch and contraction phases making the athlete quicker, faster, stronger and more explosive!
